Alexandra Bordallo Portrait

When she was fifteen years old, Alexandra started to sew with her grandma's sewing machine. Her grandmother also taught her how to crochet and knit. Since then, she has taught herself how to sew bags, backpacks and accessories. A few years after starting her sewing journey, she discovered the quilting world and started following sewing blogs and video tutorials. She soon discovered the magic of creating something pretty with pieces of fabric.

Born and raised in city of Vic (near Barcelona), Spain, Alexandra currently lives with her husband Arnau and their son, Ricard. Her passion for sewing and textile art is the reason why she started to learn how to draw and design repeating patterns in June 2014, when her son was born. In addition to sewing, her hobbies include illustrating, cooking, singing, reading books and imagining magical and whimsical worlds with her toddler. She loves translating the beauty of nature into imperfect whimsical drawings. Her son was also her "little assistant" when it came to designing her very first fabric line with Art Gallery Fabrics, Dew and Moss.
